WELCOME TO THE PROTOCOL

You're About to Give Your Dog Something Most Dogs Never Get.

Thousands of dog owners are running this exact protocol right now — and most of them, like you, came to it after years of medications that didn't work and a vet who never tested for parasites.

I designed this page so you and your dog feel confident through every phase. What to expect day by day. What's normal. What to do if something feels off. How to know it's working.

Take a few minutes to read through it. Then come back any time during your protocol — that's why your bottle's label points here.

How to Use Your Pawsy Parasite Cleanse Drops

Pawsy is a liquid drop you mix into your dog's food once daily. Here's everything you need to know to start Day 1 with confidence.

Daily Dose by Weight

Small dogs
Under 25 lbs
0.5 ml daily
Medium dogs
25–75 lbs
1 ml daily
Large dogs
Over 75 lbs
1.5 ml daily

One full dropper holds approximately 1 ml. See the dropper measurement guide below.

Mix directly into your dog's food once daily. Most dogs eat it without noticing — Pawsy is duck-flavored.

Quick Tips

  • Best given with the morning meal — gives the herbs full-day exposure
  • If your dog skips a dose, just give the next dose normally — don't double up
  • Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight
  • The bottle lasts about 60 days for a medium dog
  • It's safe to mix with treats if your dog won't eat the food

What to Expect During Your 21-Day Cleanse

Every dog responds slightly differently. Some show changes in the first 3 days. Others take a full 14. The protocol works in stages — and knowing what's happening at each stage will save you a lot of worry.

1
DAYS 1–3

The Body Starts Reacting

The herbs in Pawsy are now penetrating the biofilm shield parasites build to protect themselves. As that shield breaks down, parasites die off and your dog's body begins flushing toxins. This is the most active phase biologically — and it's normal to see your dog react.

What you might notice

  • Slightly softer or looser stools
  • Slight increase in thirst
  • Mild lethargy or extra napping
  • Some dogs are completely unaffected

What's normal vs. what to watch for

✓ Normal: Soft stools for 1-2 days, slightly lower energy, increased water intake.

⚠ Watch for: Persistent vomiting (more than once), refusing food for over 24 hours, severe lethargy. If you see these, pause the protocol and email help@pawsylabs.com.

2
DAYS 4–7

First Visible Improvements

By the end of week 1, most dogs start showing the first observable symptom changes. Scooting often reduces noticeably. Stool firms up. Sleep starts becoming deeper. Some dogs respond fast in this window — others won't show changes until week 2. Both timelines are normal.

What you might notice

  • Reduced scooting or paw licking
  • Firmer stools
  • Calmer evening energy
  • More restful sleep

What's normal vs. what to watch for

✓ Normal: Some dogs feel "more themselves" already, others are still in the die-off phase.

✓ Normal: No visible changes yet — full transformation typically lands in weeks 2-3.

3
DAYS 8–14

The Turning Point

This is when most dogs hit the dramatic improvement window. Chronic symptoms that lasted years often resolve here. The probiotic in Pawsy has now had time to start rebuilding the gut microbiome, and the parasite load is significantly reduced.

What you might notice

  • Paw licking decreased or stopped
  • Indoor accidents resolving
  • 3AM pacing fading
  • Coat starting to look brighter
  • Reactivity on walks calming
  • Better appetite or normalized eating

What's normal vs. what to watch for

✓ Normal: Big changes in this window — celebrate them.

✓ Normal: Slow steady improvement that compounds week to week.

4
DAYS 15–21

Full Cleanse Completion

By the end of three weeks, the initial cleanse phase is complete. Most dogs show the full pattern of recovery: the chronic symptoms that returned with every previous treatment now stay gone. Your dog's gut microbiome has been substantially rebuilt. Now the question becomes: how do you keep this going?

What you might notice

  • Most or all original chronic symptoms resolved
  • Calmer behavior, better sleep, healthier coat
  • Renewed energy
  • Improved interest in food

What to do next

Take a "Day 21" photo and compare it to your Day 1 photo (you took one, right?).

Read the next section: the three-phase ongoing protocol.

Common Concerns During the Protocol

These are the questions Dr. Kovač gets most often during the cleanse phase. If yours isn't here, email help@pawsylabs.com — we respond within 24 hours.

My dog had loose stool on day 3. Should I stop the protocol?

Loose stool in the first few days is one of the most common signs of die-off and is generally normal. As parasites die, your dog's body flushes the toxins through the digestive system. Continue the protocol.

If the loose stool lasts more than 3 consecutive days, OR if you see blood, OR if your dog stops eating entirely, pause and email help@pawsylabs.com.

My dog seems more tired than usual. Is something wrong?

Mild lethargy in days 2-5 is common during the die-off phase — your dog's body is working hard to clear toxins. This typically resolves by the end of week 1.

If your dog is severely lethargic (won't get up, won't eat for over 24 hours), pause the protocol and contact us.

I missed a dose yesterday. Do I need to start over?

No. Just give the next dose normally and continue. Don't double up. The protocol is forgiving of an occasional missed dose. If you've missed more than 3 days in a row, restart the count from day 1.

My dog hates the taste — what do I do?

Pawsy is duck-flavored and most dogs eat it without noticing when mixed into food. If your dog detects it, try:

  • Mixing it into a stronger-flavored food (wet food, plain Greek yogurt, or a small spoon of pumpkin)
  • Mixing it into a treat or piece of cheese
  • Splitting the daily dose into two smaller mealtime additions
  • Letting the food sit for 5 minutes before feeding so the smell mellows
I don't see any changes yet — is it working?

The first 7 days are often invisible from the outside even when significant change is happening internally. Most dogs show the first visible improvements between days 7-14, and the full transformation by days 15-21.

Some dogs (especially those with longer chronic symptom history) need the full 21 days before changes become obvious. Keep going.

Can I use Pawsy with my dog's current medications?

Most owners use Pawsy alongside existing medications without issue, including Apoquel, Cytopoint, prescription diets, and antibiotics. However, because Pawsy addresses the gut environment, some dogs may naturally need less of their current prescriptions over time.

Always coordinate with your vet before adjusting or stopping any prescribed medication. Pawsy is not a substitute for prescription treatment of an active diagnosed condition — it complements your dog's overall care.

What if my dog throws up after taking it?

Occasional mild vomiting in the first few days is uncommon but can happen as part of die-off. If it happens once and your dog seems otherwise normal, give the next dose with a fuller meal (the food helps buffer absorption).

If your dog vomits more than once in a day or won't eat, pause and email us.

My dog is pregnant or nursing. Can she take Pawsy?

No. Pawsy is not recommended for pregnant or nursing dogs. The herbal antiparasitics in the formula can affect milk production and pass to puppies. Wait until your dog has finished nursing and her puppies are weaned before starting the protocol.

My puppy is 10 weeks old. Can I give Pawsy?

Pawsy is not recommended for puppies under 12 weeks. Wait until your puppy is at least 12 weeks old, fully vaccinated, and on a stable diet before starting the protocol.

If you're concerned about parasite exposure in a young puppy, consult your vet about an age-appropriate fecal test and treatment.

I have multiple dogs. Should I treat them all?

If your dogs share a home and exposure environment (the same yard, dog park, water bowls), there's a strong likelihood that if one has subclinical parasites, others do too. Most multi-dog households run the protocol simultaneously across all their dogs.

Just dose each dog by their individual weight.

Day 21 Isn't the End. It's the Beginning of How You Keep Your Dog Protected.

The cleanse phase clears the existing parasite load. But your dog gets re-exposed every day at the dog park, on walks, around other dogs. Without ongoing protection, parasites slowly recolonize within weeks. The rest of the developed world figured this out decades ago.

PHASE 1

The Cleanse (Days 1-21)

Full daily dose. Cleared the existing parasite load. Rebuilt the foundation of your dog's gut microbiome.

You've finished this phase.
PHASE 2

Daily Defense (Day 22 onwards)

Reduced maintenance dose, given 3-4 days per week. Keeps the gut microbiome stable and inhospitable to parasites returning. Most owners find this becomes a routine — like brushing their dog's teeth or giving a daily supplement.

What to do

  • Reduce the dose by half (e.g., 0.5 ml for a medium dog)
  • Give 3-4 times per week, mixed in food
  • Continue indefinitely as ongoing protection
  • One bottle covers approximately 60-90 days of maintenance
PHASE 3

Seasonal Reset (Every 3 Months)

Return to full daily dose for 7 days, every quarter. Catches any new parasite load before it establishes. Matches the seasonal life cycles that drive parasite waves through the year.

What to do

  • Mark your calendar for 90 days from your Day 1
  • Run the full daily dose for 7 days
  • Return to maintenance dosing afterward
  • Plan for 4 of these per year

Track Your Dog's Progress

Most dog moms are surprised by how much they forget once their dog is feeling better. The scooting that happened 4 times a day. The 3AM pacing that woke them up every other night. The hot spots that came back every other week.

Take 30 seconds today to mark down what you're seeing — and then check back at Day 21. Even subtle improvements become obvious when you have a baseline.

What to track

  • Daily scooting frequency
  • Paw licking duration
  • Sleep quality
  • Coat texture and shine
  • Energy level
  • Behavior on walks
  • Indoor accidents (if applicable)

📸 Take a photo of your dog today. Get a clear shot of their coat, paws, and overall condition. On Day 21, take another photo from the same angle. The difference will surprise you.
